April in Paris, 2001 and April 2012

I am standing in front of Notre Dame, the gothic cathedral, built in 1163. It took almost 200 years to finish it, off and on. In 2001, it was getting an uplift and scraped of polluted debris. It was spring time, rainy, and the banks of the Seine were flooded. It didn’t really matter, because in Paris, you make quick adjustments and get on with your adventures.

Fast forward, my French Club and I made our voyage, April in Paris, 2012.  They too reflected on what they learned in World History, as well as used their crash course in basic conversational French. Our days for the last few months were consumed with fundraising and grant writing. So far, all of our travel dreams are came true. Thank the Lord!!!
